New Coach Named Elston?

What a name. Apparently Elston Turner, assistant coach of the Houston Rockets, has been cleared to interview with David Kahn about the head coaching spot. He has been through this process before, as he was rejected by the Phoenix Suns last year when they accidentally chose Terry Porter (oops) over Turner and a few others. Turner was a hero in college for his Alma Matter Ole Miss, as he lead the basketball program to their first ever tournament appearance. He then went on to be drafted by the Dallas Mavericks and had an eight year NBA career before heading to the CBA. Turner has had 3 assistant coaching jobs in the NBA, two of which have been behind Rick Adelman in Sacramento and now Houston. Known for his defensive mindset, and ability to connect with players, he may be a great fit on this team.

-Flynn and Ellington have signed their rookie contracts worth at least $2.5 Million and $850 K

- Rubio is in negotiations with DKV about a buyout, and is within a few million of an agreement

-Kahn believes Rubio will be here THIS SEASON

-Everyone on the payroll from last year is still on as of right now, including the GM Jim Stack

-Summer League starts Sunday, when we take on the Houston Rockets
