The day has finally arrived. Your Minnesota Timberwolves will take the court tonight facing a Nets team that is in a very similar situation as the Wolves. Both teams are in a rebuilding stage, and have a great centerpiece for that rebuilding. Although Al Jefferson is coming off of a major surgery, there are extremely high expectations for him this year in Rambis’ new high-paced offense. On the other side of the ball, Devin Harris has flourished ever since he was traded to the Nets for Jason Kidd. He is the go to guy in what was a pretty good [...]

Opening Night: Wolves Host Nets
Jerry Zgoda put out a blog yesterday that mentioned the Mark Blount will not be bought out. I repeat. Mark Blount will NOT be bought out.
As scary as that statement looks, it really isn’t a bad situation. In fact, it’s a great situation. David Kahn has stated that keeping Blount is purely for trading flexibility, and that Blount will still stay in Miami for the remainder of his time with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
What this means is that Blount’s $8 million contract will be flaunted around come the trade deadline. A large expiring contract is something many teams have searched relentlessly [...]
Wolves To Wear “Throwbacks”
The Wolves will be wearing “throwback” uniforms in 6 games this season. There is much speculation about which uniforms will be used (most are hoping some form of the black uniforms), but it is known that they will be using the original blue uniforms on December 5th.
I don’t know about you guys, but the blues they are wearing in December, and the blacks from a few years ago are the only ones I ever want to see again. The blues from a few years ago are atrocious, and our whites have always been too bland.
Hopefully they took notes from the [...]
Injury Updates/ Wolves News
Kevin Love had “successful” surgery today to repair a fracture on his left hand. Doctors in New York inserted three screws into Love’s fourth metacarpal. His estimated recovery is 6-8 weeks from today.
As for Jefferson, his inflamed Achilles tendon should be good to go for the October 28th season opener against the Nets. The Wolves did send him home from Detroit today, however, to recover from the flu/severe cold he has been getting through the past few days. His status as of right now is day-to-day.
In other News Glen Taylor was re-elected chairman of the NBA’s board of governors. Last [...]
Wolves Win Preseason Opener
A whole new Wolves team stepped out on the court together for the first time Sunday, and the results were intriguing to say the least. While the Wolves flexed their muscle in the paint, the also showcased a pretty mediocre perimeter shooting stroke. Let’s look at the positives first:
Kevin Love is becoming an absolute freak. While reportedly he was the best player in training came, he matched that performance on the court putting up a 17 and 13 double-double in a little over 21 minutes of time. He also appears to have improved his 3-point game as promised and has [...]
