Official Game #47 Thread

Tonight in what has to be the most anticipated matchup of the year (for at least 3 or 4 folks) Minnesota will face off against the Fighting Lebrons.

Preview: In able to win Minnesota has to do something they haven’t done in the past few nights, play well. They have to play to their strengths meaning they have to feed their big men (Love and Jefferson). Both Love and Al need to clean the glass. Corey Brewer will most likely draw the assignment of defending Bron. The unfortunate side effect is Brewer will likely either end up in foul trouble or too tired to contribute on offense. Big Al needs to attack Shaq. Shaq should not be able to keep up with him and hopefully end up in foul trouble. Unfortunately after the past couple nights though I just don’t see Big Al being real aggressive tonight. If I was Cleveland I would do one of two things: 1) Play Lebron and let his teammates rest. 2) Play the D-Leaguers while the team enjoys a night on the town. If the Wolves continue to play the way they have the last two games either scenario would likely end with a victory. The key matchups will be Brewer vs. Lebron, Big Al vs. Shaq, and Flynn vs. Mo Williams’s replacement Daniel Gibson. The Cavs have the advantage in every category so I won’t bother to break it down. Secret Weapon: Jordan Crawford will suit up for Minnesota tonight in hopes he dunks on Lebron again, the NBA immediately blacks out the game during the 5 second delay, and we don’t have to watch the slaughter that will likely occur. My guarantee for tonight is Lebron will not drop 60 on the Wolves…..hard to drop 60 when you only play three quarters.
