Philly Phils Stat Sheet in 119-97 Win

The length of Samuel Dalembert caused a countless amount of problems for Minnesota. Big Al struggled down low (5-12) while attempting to shoot over Dalembert. Samuel completely took Ryan Hollins out of the game. Watching Hollins attempt to grab rebounds over Dalembert looked like a 14 year old trying to outrebound “Big” Ben Wallace. It was in a word “ridiculous.” From the beginning Jonny Flynn looked out of sync. Flynn turned the ball over 5 times while only dishing out 3 assists. The only two who looked ready to play were Wayne Ellington (16 points off the bench) and Corey Brewer (14 points and brought tons of energy) but the game was so one sided it didn’t matter how well they played.

The defense last night was horrible. You cannot give up 73 points in the first half to include 43 in the 2nd quarter and expect to win let alone be competitive. I do not remember ever seeing a team score 51 points in the 1st half and still trail by 22! Elton Brand and his 21 points on 8 of 15 shooting made the T-Wolves post defense look childish. Andre Iguodala was able to drive and dish as well as spot up and shoot at will. The Sixers played on a completely different level than the Wolves last night.

I hope the Wolves return to the team who went on the four game winning streak tonight because the team who showed up……or should I say “did not show up” last night was terrible. I know this team is a work in progress and unfortunately they will suffer these losses even after a stretch of wins……but man it still sucks. You hate to see the progress and then the collapse. Anyway tonight is a new night and we’ll see what it brings.
