Even without Joakim Noah the Bulls were able to hold off the Wolves 100-94. Rebounding continued to be a major issue for Minnesota as the Bulls grabbed 51 boards (16 of which were offensive) to the Wolves 41. The T-Wolves held most of the Bulls to around their season averages but they did not have an answer for Kirk Hinrich. Hinrich came into the game averaging roughly 10 points per contest yet he was able to drop 20 on seven for twelve shooting.
Jonny Flynn actually held up better than I thought with a 14 point, 7 rebound, and 6 assists effort. I liked Kurt Rambis’s rotation much better with one exception; Kevin Love is the best player you have thus he should not be limited to 20 minutes even when he is struggling. Ryan Hollins played better offensively and on the glass but he should still be limited to 20 or less minutes. C’mon Coach! You don’t give a fringe player 7 more minutes than the guy who is arguably your best player.
With the loss the T-Wolves have now dropped 5 straight and are 4-6 in their last 10. Overall on the year Minnesota is 13-43. Up next for Minny is the red hot Oklahoma City Thunder.
