Wolves News and Notes

The latest on Darko:

When discussing Darko’s first practice Kevin Love said “He was scoring on all of us in the post. When he didn’t score a couple of times, he got upset. That’s the kind of thing you like to see.”

Kurt Rambis said “It looked to me like he was having fun and enjoying playing again. It’s very clear that he picks up stuff really easy. He understands the game.”

“Generally, it takes a player six to eight weeks to get in shape, but we don’t have time to do that. He’ll have to push himself through it. We just want him to get a rhythm going and gain some confidence.” Rambis said in regards to Milicic’s conditioning.

In the same article Kevin Love said “It’s a good thing when I get upset when things don’t go right for me. I just can’t let it affect my game, but last night it did. It’s not a reoccurring thing. It was just one of those nights for me.” when asked about Coach Rambis’s criticism of his effort in the last game.

Nathan Jawai has been assigned to Sioux Falls of the D-League

Charley Walters of the Pioneer Press talked to Wolves Owner Glen Taylor about what he plans to do with the estimated 14mil they will have to spend in the offseason. “Money always seems to be the main thing,” Taylor said. “Other things may have to do with the coach. Some players like a coach’s style, so we have to find a player who believes in our coaches and (thinks) they’ll be a better player under our coaches than they presently are.”
