Now that we have had a few days to step back from the insanity that is the NBA Draft Lottery, we have moved to the Mock- Draft-phase of the “crazy-season”.  We hear about trades, the Wolves desire to move-up to get Evan Turner, or trading down to do….I am not sure.  If you have read a few of the mock drafts that are up, you will notice that a few names that keep coming-up.

According the sites above, The Wolves are going to take either Cousins or Johnson with the No. 4 pick.  Both of these players are very comparable to current Wolves players.

Cousins is very similar to Al Jefferson.  While both are limited athletically and defensively, Cousins is more brute force and Jefferson is more a finesse player.

Johnson reminds me a lot of Corey Brewer, expect Johnson is more of a consistent shooter than when Brewer came into the league.

If  Minnesota is unable to get Evan Turner, me feelings that they will go with Johnson.  Unless they trade Jefferson and then need a post presence.

Personally, I think the draft gets more interesting with the 16th and 23rd picks where the team can add quality depth and some unique players.  But we will get into more player breakdowns are we get closer to the draft, which is only a month away!

Kevin Love on Dan Patrick’s Show

Apparently, Dan Patrick loves the Minnesota Timberwolves.  He had David Kahn on his show earlier this week, and now has some time with LoveInsert preferred joke here.
