NBA Lockout: Progress Made after Marathon meeting on Tuesday

The owners and players are making progress on the embarrassing NBA Lockout, giving fans a sense that all hope is not lost for the NBA season.   Both sides met with Federal Mediator, George Cohen, for more than 16 hours on Tuesday.   The talks finally concluded at around 2am EST.   Cohen has asked both sides not to make public comments.   Reports indicate that the Cohen tried to keep the emotions off the table, and simply focus on what each side needs to get the deal done.   Isn’t this what they should have been doing in July when this whole lockout started?

Where is Biff Tannen when we need him?   “Hello???  McFly, anybody home????”

There was enough progress in the talks that the owners altered their plans, and decided to meet again on Wednesday morning at 10am.   Previously, the owners have said that they would not be available on Wednesday.   Let’s not get too giddy yet, but let’s cross our fingers that even more progress is made on Wednesday.

Timberwolves fans are getting anxious for the season debut after several uplifting offseason moves.   Here’s a clip of last season’s home opener, a sky-walker jam by Wes Johnson.
