Beasley and Timberwolves Teammates Defeat The Visitors 179-170 In Charity Game

Timberwolves forward Michael Beasley and fellow Timberwolves teammates defeated a cast of NBA visitors Friday night at Osseo High School.   The game was attended by about 600 to 700 fans and all proceeds went to charity.  Timberwolves game participants included Wesley Johnson, Anthony Tolliver, Wayne Ellington, Anthony Randolph, and Lazar Hayward.  Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson served as one of the game’s coaches.  Timberwolves forward Derrick Williams was a late scratch from the game, and so were Kevin Durant, Kevin Love, and John Wall.  It’s unfortunate for the fans that those guys couldn’t make it, the game actually might have been pretty big time.

No NBA Lockout talks are currently scheduled, and Beasley said he felt like it was his job to bring basketball back to Minnesota.  Beasley has been pretty active this offseason as he has played everywhere from China to Harlem, NY.  I like how the Timberwolves have guys who really love to play the game (if nothing else).

Coming up this week, we’ll count down the Top 5 things Timberwolves fans should look forward to if there is a season.  Until then, here’s Michael Beasley’s alley-oop dunk on Kobe Bryant & the Lakers last year.
