The Minnesota Timberwolves today announced the team’s five-game schedule for the 2012 NBA Summer League, beginning with a contest against the Los Angeles Clippers on July 16 at COX Pavilion. A record 24 teams will compete in a 60-game schedule July 13-22 at the Thomas & Mack Center and the COX Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
The Timberwolves have just recently announced their five-game schedule for the 2012 Summer League, which will be held at the Thomas & Max Center in Las Vegas and the Cox Pavilion on the University of Nevada – Las Vegas campus.
24 NBA teams will be competing in the 60-game schedule running through July 13 to July 22. The Timberwolves will tip-off the 2012 NBA Summer League against Lob City, the Los Angeles Clippers, on July 16 at the COX Pavilion.
11 out of the 24 NBA teams are teams that participated in the 2012 NBA Playoffs. The NBA Summer League has always been a place where owners, coaches, scouts, and writers will get a first hand look at the incoming draft class. 13 of the 14 lottery picks in the 2012 NBA Draft are owned by teams that will take part of the 2012 NBA Summer League. The top five teams selecting in the upcoming 2012 NBA Draft will be competing in the 2012 NBA Summer League with the New Orleans Hornets, Charlotte Bobcats, Washington Wizards, Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Sacramento Kings.

- July 16 – Los Angeles Clippers (COX Pavilion) 9:00 PM CDT
- July 17 – Charlotte Bobcats (Thomas & Mack Center) 9:30 PM CDT
- July 19 – Cleveland Cavaliers (COX Pavilion) 7:00 PM CDT
- July 21 – National Basketball Development League Team (COX Pavilion) 7:00 PM CDT
- July 22 – Memphis Grizzlies (COX Pavilion) 7:00 PM CDT
NBA TV will be broadcasting the 2012 NBA Summer League from the Thomas & Mack Center and the COX Pavilion.
