You could easily say that this upcoming NBA season is the most highly anticipated one in recent years as the Timberwolves are looking more poised than ever to make the NBA Playoffs. But before trying to achieve that goal, there are certain steps the Wolves must do first. The off-season so far has been tremendous for the franchise as they have acquired new players that could change the direction of the team and hopefully make Kevin Love stay even longer. With that in mind, molding together as one cohesive unit is most likely the next thing the Wolves must do in order to get to the post season. The regular season is obviously going to be that time where the players will be able to come together, but the pre-season is important as well in order for them to get that feel of playing full length NBA basketball game.
For the Timberwolves, they’ll be playing seven pre-season games, including two in Downtown Minneapolis at Target Center. The Timberwolves, just like the pre-season games before, will be taking on NBA teams located around the state of Minnesota. The Wolves will also be taking on one non-NBA team. To start off the pre-season, the Timberwolves will be taking on the Indiana Pacers on October 10 at Fargo, North Dakota.
Here is the rest of Minnesota’s pre-season schedule::
- October 12 – @ Indiana Pacers
- October 13 – vs Chicago Bulls at Target Center
- October 16 – vs Maccab Bazan Haifa (Israel) at Target Center
- October 19 – @ Chicago Bulls
- October 24 – vs Detroit Pistons at Winnipeg, Manitoba
- October 26 – vs Milwaukee Bucks at Green Bay, Wisconsin
