The Wolves fall to the Bulls 104-97. The Wolves couldn’t take advantage of the shorthanded Chicago Bulls, without Joakim Noah and Marco Belinelli on Sunday evening at The Target Center. The Bulls used a big 18-4 run to close out the first quarter to take a 23-16 lead and never gave up the lead.

The Bulls would open up the lead to as much as 16, the Wolves would battle back. Like at the start of the 4th quarter where the Wolves hit three 3’s on consecutive trips to narrow the Bulls lead to 6. The Bulls responded over the rest of the 4th quarter and had a 15 point lead with just under 3 minutes left in the game. The Wolves just couldn’t keep up the physical play of the Bulls and dropped to a 24-44 on the year.

The Wolves had 28 points from Derrick Williams, which tied a career high. He led all score’s and recorded 23 of his 28 points in the 2nd half. The Wolves also had 15 points from Nikola Pekovic and Ricky Rubio. The Bulls were led by Nate Robinson who had 22 points off of the bench. The Wolves shot 50% on the night, while the Bulls only shot 46%. The Bulls though had 20 offensive rebounds on the night. And 52 for the game. The Bulls out rebounded the Wolves 52-32.

The Wolves will try to get back in the win column against the Piston Tuesday night in Detroit with a 6:30 tip.
