NBA Trade Rumors: Is Kevin Love Available?

Before the Draft Rumors really began heating up, I had recently met the outside-of-Minnesota popular opinion that the Wolves should trade Kevin Love and was completely gobsmacked and had to pick my jaw off the floor — I had no idea what to respond with besides horse noises — chortles, snorts — and a basic questions like: Who is a better power forward in the league? What would a trade for Kevin Love even look like? What team would be in a position to offer it?

I did’t even know where to start. Zach Lowe starts like this:

With David Kahn gone, Kevin Love no longer hates the team’s management. I don’t know if he likes Flip Saunders, but I know he doesn’t have contempt for him. Saunders is showing him respect and showing him that he’s the most important part of this franchise moving forward. These were never opinions David Kahn seemed to publicly show Kevin and certainly didn’t show him when he tried to trade him multiple times and insulted him multiples times during contract negotiations over his extension. Considering Love doesn’t have this saturating animosity toward Wolves’ management anymore, it seems unlikely he’ll request a trade any time soon.

That’s a lot of positivity and it’s perfectly suited to my Draft Day Outlook of sunshine and low(er) humidity, but mostly it’s absurd — TOTALLY ABSURD.
