Not so sure how I feel about critiquing a picture before it’s finished.
What about that second unit? Where’s the defensive stopper? How do we succeed in the playoffs?
Catch your breath, people. Dwight Howard still hasn’t made up his mind. Pek is still a RFA. Playoffs?
I mean, there are still rumors like this from Doogie…
Hard to explain on here. Bottom-line: S&T leaves open a shot of AK’s return & the MLE. They likely vanish w/ flat FA signing.
So if the Wolves figure out a way to turn some 2nd round draft picks and J.J. Barea or Luke Ridnour leaving enough room to still sign AK you could look at it as burning some assets that would otherwise fetch them the defense they need on the perimeter or you could look at it as a way to really piss off Chase Budinger, who was rumored to be told he would be starting at small forward.
Also, I have my concerns about Flip’s ability to move Derrick Williams and the other misfits on the Wolves’ second unit for something useful.
But let’s let the paint dry before we go out calling this the worst defensive squad the Wolves have ever sent to the meat grinder. Nevermind Luke Ridnour as the starting shooting guard — do you remember Luke starting at point guard? I find it hard to criticize the starting lineup, as it is currently penciled in, as being weaker than what that endurance test was.
Wolves fans: Give yourself a chance to enjoy the fact the Wolves have two perfectly placed corner three-point shooters on the same roster as Ricky Rubio and Kevin Love in Rick Adelman’s offense with obvious other shoes to drop and let yourself be happy.
