Metta World Peace Post-Amnesty Perfect Fit?

Old news? Kevin Ding from the Orange County Register is reporting the wingnut formerly known as Ron Artest is a sweetheart.

Sweet a guy as he is, @MettaWorldPeace will be waived via amnesty by Lakers to save about $30 million, barring some late change.

And he’s gonna get amnestied like a Darko.

Let’s play connect the dots with the wingnut formerly known as Ron Artest and his post-amnesty destination.

He used to play for Rick Adelman. He’s available. The Wolves need a defensive wing. He’s available. Done.

The wingnut formerly known as Ron Artest is your new Wolves dream scenario.

Except the wingnut formerly known as Ron Artest isn’t the same guy who played for Rick Adelman. He’s a few steps slower than that guy. He’s still possessing an inflated sense of his own offensive capabilities. And he’s the wingnut formerly known as Ron Artest.

Worst dream scenario ever. I can’t believe the desperation one would need to feel to think the wingnut formerly known as Ron Artest would be the answer to your defensively deficient Wolves wing rotation.

Sure Kevin Martin won’t get it done on the defensive side and the idea of starting Chase Budinger sounds like a stretch even when he is proving a perfect fit in Adelman’s system, but the wingnut formerly known as Ron Artest? To solve problems? In Minnesota? I can’t think of a player less fluid than the wingnut formerly known as Ron Artest. Just no.
