Bob Finnan of The News-Herald & The Morning Journal has reported that the Cleveland Cavaliers are now willing to include Andrew Wiggins in a trade for Kevin Love. Several other outlets have also confirmed the news.

The Cavaliers willingness to add Wiggins into the trade pot may prove to be a major turning point in the Kevin Love trade saga, as it could affect Golden State’s willingness to budge on their current stance, potentially forcing them to include Klay Thompson as the key piece in their own trade offer.

If Thompson becomes available, one has to wonder which deal the Timberwolves would value more. We know that Flip is the head coach, and coaches typically enjoy winning basketball games. So it’s gotta be Thompson, right?  He’s a proven sniper, solid defender, and he can help the Timberwolves today.  But if Flip is thinking like the President of Basketball Operations he might be leaning toward the long-term potential of Wiggins.

A difficult decision, to be sure. But it’s Flip’s job to wear multiple hats and let’s hope he makes the right call.

What do you think? Should we make the deal ASAP and get Andrew “Maple Jordan” Wiggins, or should we hold out and see if Golden State is ready to up-the-ante?
