In the wake of the WojBomb: what else have we learned about the Love-Wiggins trade?

Since Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports graced us with a patented WojBomb early on Thursday morning, we’ve learned a bit more of the alleged Love-Wiggins trade agreement between the Cavaliers and the Timberwolves.

None of it surprising, really. We all knew this is ultimately where we were headed. But to hear supposed facts behind the whole thing is nonetheless intriguing. The local media folks are now leaking any other bits of information that they have. After all, they can’t be blamed for spilling the “official” trade news anymore.

So the Thaddeus Young dream is looking less likely, although it’s clear that Flip Saunders is still aiming for that conclusion. The roster needs a ton of adjustment still, as Mo Williams was ostensibly brought aboard to replace the still-on-the-roster J.J. Barea, and it’s pretty clear that the Wolves are trying like heck to get Alexey Shved off the roster, too.

As it stands, the team would be at 16 players, one over the league maximum. Flip will want to find a spot for Glenn Robinson III, who he’s spoken highly of and is a well-regarded prospect league-wide. Not only that, the Wolves would have a trio of tweener/non-starters at the power forward spot in Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, Anthony Bennett, and Robbie Hummel. None of those guys is, nor will likely be, a starting-caliber player in the NBA.

Mba a Moute is the best of the three, and for whatever reason Saunders is apparently hell-bent on moving him. Hummel is fine in small-ball lineups, and Bennett is…well, we don’t really know. But there’s nothing there that we can be counting on this fall.

More moves are definitely coming. But how many, and can Flip pull a rabbit out of his hat and make a splash?
