The Minnesota Timberwolves are officially halfway through their 82-game schedule and are sitting at a 7-34 record.

Their 7-win total is tied with the New York Knicks for lowest in the NBA and is the worst in the Western Conference by a full five wins. Even the Philadelphia 76ers, who many were legitimately concerned with winning even ten games on the season, have managed to tally eight victories thus far.

Obviously, things have not gone according to plan for Flip Saunders and his team, and a huge part of that is due to injuries. Ricky Rubio has played in five games. Nikola Pekovic played in his tenth contest on Wednesday night. Kevin Martin has appeared in nine games on the season.

And while the team has by and large been pretty terrible, there can still be awards, of sorts. Not traditional awards, per se, but of a relative nature. Herein you’ll find the Minnesota Timberwolves Mid-Season Awards.
