There are five prospects the Timberwolves will be eyeing with the 7th pick in the NBA Draft. Which player will they end up choosing?

The 2017 NBA Draft will be held this Thursday, June 22nd, at 6 p.m. Central Time. With the draft coming up fast, let’s take a look at five Timberwolves draft prospects. This includes analyzing which player they most represent in the NBA, as well as their respective ceilings and floors.

The Timberwolves have had good success over the past four years in the draft, landing Karl-Anthony Towns, Zach Lavine, Shabazz Muhammad, and Gorgui Dieng. (Technically, the Wolves didn’t draft Muhammad and Dieng, but they did tell the Utah Jazz who to draft, and vice versa before consummating a trade for Trey Burke on draft night in 2013.)

Other than these past four years, however, the Wolves seem to have almost never landed the right player, passing on players like Stephen Curry and DeMarcus Cousins in recent years. The list goes on, but can you imagine if the Wolves actually hit a home run on draft night several years ago? It would be a totally different story for the team.

Either way, the past is the past and Wolves need to look toward the future. With the #7 pick in this years draft, the Wolves will be set up nicely due to a deep class.
