Minnesota Timberwolves: Cheap free agents (part 2)
Part two of the Minnesota Timberwolves cheap free agents examines just that, five more cheap players who are available.
Yesterday, we looked at five free agents the Minnesota Timberwolves can afford with their cap space. Today, we will look at five more.
If you missed part one and don’t want to go back and read it, I’ll give you the cliff notes about the Wolves salary cap situation. They basically have somewhere between $2 and $3.5 million left to spend plus they also have the option to bring in veterans for the minimum.
Considering that a veteran’s minimum is over $2 million after they have accrued eight years of experience means Minnesota’s salary cap space basically becomes null at that point.

A lot of these players that you will see on these lists aren’t in any hurry to sign. They can be patient and let the market play out to see if teams will bid against one another.
If their price doesn’t go up, oh well. The players can then sign for the veteran minimum like they would have in the first place.
I’ll continue to focus on mostly wings and point guards because Tom Thibodeau recently said at a press conference those are the positions he’s targeting.
Without further ado, here’s part two (of a three part series) of cheap free agents the Timberwolves should consider.
