Strength In Numbers: Gordon Hayward, Derrick Favors, Enes Kanter, Alec Burks, Trey Burke, Rudy Gobert, Dante Exum, Rodney Hood
The Jazz may or may not have an Andrew Wiggins-like superstar talent on their squad.
Some argue that Dante Exum could be that guy, but his Summer League and World Cup performances have cast a shadow of doubt on his long-term potential, causing the buzz around his game to quiet some. Nobody will argue, however, with the sheer amount of ability that exists on Utah’s roster. They go eight-deep in terms of young talent, and each of those players possesses varying degrees of star potential. And that’s why they top the Wolves on the list. It hurts, but I had to do it.
Still, despite the tremendous depth, Utah’s ultimate ceiling depends heavily on Exum’s 19 year-old shoulders. With talented wings in Gordon Hayward and Rodney Hood, as well as a front court that features Derrick Favors, Enes Kanter, and the giant Rudy Gobert, the Jazz have all the pieces to become a contender if Exum develops into a true star player.
