Rising Stars Challenge pits USA vs. World in new format

When you think of the array of star players situated on the Chicago Bulls roster, Mirotic is far from the first mentioned. This is not to say that the Serbian is a star quite yet, but he is having an outstanding (somewhat of a surprise) solid season thus far.

At 24 years old, Mirotic was actually drafted in 2011 by the Houston Rockets, but played overseas until this season. The big man has been a critical part in Chicago’s ability to stay afloat near the top of their conference despite injuries to starting center Joakim Noah.
