The Minnesota Timberwolves don’t make the playoffs. It’s just not part of what they do. Or, at least what they’ve done in the past decade-plus.
But there are a number of former players that have landed on their feet with (at least comparatively) successful organizations. In fact, there are seven former Wolves players on the roster of this year’s 16 NBA playoff teams.
Three of those seven were on the Wolves’ roster at the start of training camp in fall and five of the seven were on the team as recently as last season.
The following is an admittedly unscientific ranking of these former Wolves. They are ranked in descending order based on a) how important they are to their respective team and b) how good of a player they actually are. They’ve all started games at one point for the Wolves because, well, Wolves, but they aren’t all equal in regards to their likely impact on the 2015 NBA playoffs.
