Dec 27, 2014; Las Vegas, NV, USA; UNLV Runnin

Strengths:

Vaughn is an efficient scorer of the basketball. His 44% shooting percentage and his 38% shooting percentage from three are good indicators of his efficient shooting. At UNLV, he consistently found creative ways to get good looks and put the ball in the basket. He should be able to give a solid scoring boost off the bench in the NBA in his first couple of seasons.

Vaughn has shown the ability to be in good position defensively. In other words, Vaughn plays good team defense. He’s always there for good help defense and he won’t be letting his man fool him with a back door cut. This was a problem for many of the players on the Timberwolves roster this season.

Lastly, Vaughn is a solid rebounder. He averaged early five rebounds per game as a shooting guard, which is a pretty solid clip. Generally, good rebounders at the college level usually continue that success in the NBA. Again, this is an area where the Timberwolves lacked last season and Vaughn could help.
