Strengths:

Mudiay does many things well on the offensive side of the ball. He has great court vision and is a pinpoint passer, especially on the fast break. Additionally, Mudiay has solid experience using the pick-and-roll offense and he also excels at it, which is a valuable skill to have at the NBA level.

Mudiay’s athleticism is also a major strength of his game. His quickness and size should give him the edge against many NBA defenders and let him attack the basket and either finish at the rim or dish off to an open big man. Comparisons have been made to Derrick Rose and, while it may be a bit far-fetched, it certainly is an indication of how athletic Mudiay is.

Defensively, Mudiay has showed that he can use that athleticism to stay in front of players when defending them man-to-man. Also, his size and length will help him in defending bigger players if he finds himself defending one. Furthermore, Mudiay has shown that he can defend the pick-and-roll to a degree, and he knows how to fight through screens.
