Weaknesses:
While there are many strengths to Mudiay’s game, there are also a few areas that he’ll need to work on to keep up with the NBA ranks. His ability to shoot from the outside isn’t great and it’s fairly inconsistent. His three-point shooting percentage of 30% in the CBA last season is in indicator of his inconsistent shooting.
Mudiay’s numbers at the free throw line are also a concern. He shot 58% during his time in the CBA, which is not impressive by any stretch. This is something that he’ll be asked to improve by whichever team does draft him.
Lastly, Mudiay is like a lot of other young guys in that he tends to get lazy on defense, especially in off-ball situations. Many times, you’ll see his man make a basket cut right in front of him for an easy hoop. Still, though, Mudiay is overall solid defensively.
