15. Latrell Sprewell

Sprewell was brought to the Timberwolves in 2003 along with Sam Cassell to try to finally get past the Los Angeles Lakers in the playoffs.

He was coming off a productive tenure with the Knicks and was looking to bring a defensive edge and some veteran leadership to Minnesota. Sprewell, Cassell, and Kevin Garnett were deemed the Big Three and were expected to lead Minnesota to the promised land. Unfortunately, after a great regular season in 2003-04 Sprewell and the Timberwolves were unable to get past the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals.

The following year would be Sprewell’s last in Minnesota and his last in the NBA.
