The Ricky Davis Game
The Minnesota Timberwolves’ were absolutely terrible when I was at the “Ricky Davis Game” – post KG era, of course. Uncle Keith and Aunty Nancy asked me if I wanted to go with them to the Timberwolves’ game, and I happily accepted their offer.
Ricky Davis (headband and all) was feeling it that game, and ended up making the biggest shot, probably in his life. Ricky did a post-game interview with the sideline reporter during that time, and once he was done, he threw his headband into the crowd.
I saw the headband hanging in the air, so I boxed out some kids, sucker-punched the other ones, and snagged the headband in mid-air….okay, I exaggerated; I was the only kid at the game.
In case you are unfamiliar with Ricky Davis (you shouldn’t be), here are some of his highlights.
