Back-to-Back Triples in Final Seconds
Kevin Garnett was the Sacramento Kings’ nemesis throughout the 2003-04 season. In December, it appeared that Sacramento was going to win but a certain someone did something that had somebody going bonkers.
Down six with less than 30 seconds to play, KG hit a three to cut the deficit to three. The Wolves’ fouled Brad Miller (yes, the former T-Wolves great) and Miller missed both free throws that could have effectively sealed the deal.
Next, Garnett attempted to spring Sprewell open with a ball-screen, but it didn’t work. Instead, the Kings left Bobby Jackson on Garnett, and he did was Garnett often times did during his MVP season.
I told my family about the game, but they didn’t believe me….
