What if the Wolves 2003 and 2005 Drafts turned out differently?

In 2003, the Wolves had the 26th-overall pick in the draft. Now remember, this is one year before the Wolves made it to the Western Conference Finals. They needed a rookie to come in and take some of the load off Kevin Garnett, Latrell Sprewell, and Sam Cassell.

To make a long story short the Wolves selected Ndudi Ebi, who is his rookie season averaged 0.8 points per game and ended up only playing 19 career NBA games.

When the Wolves took Ebi at #26, they passed on the likes of Leandro Barbosa, Mo Williams, and Kyle Korver. All would have made much larger career contributions than Ebi.

The year 2005 brought on another questionable draft day decision. The Wolves held the #14pick and used it on North Carolina’s Rashad McCants. McCants was taken over guys like Danny Granger, David Lee, Marcin Gortat, Lou Williams, and Monta Ellis. While all of those guys continue to play and have success in the NBA, McCants hasn’t played since 2009.
