First Player to be Traded

The Case for Damjan Rudez

While trading Chase Budinger was the right idea, the Timberwolves didn’t really get much back in acquiring Damjan Rudez. He’s surplus to their roster requirements and should be moved, possibly to acquire a draft pick.  – Tomas Matias

The Case for Kevin Martin

The Wolves picked up Adreian Payne‘s option for next season so I think the Wolves want to give him another chance to prove himself. Martin has a player option after this season and a team will be calling for Martin’s services because he could be a huge boost to a playoff team’s bench. – Tim Parochka

He is one of two players on the team that do not really fit with the current roster construction. His three-point shooting allows him to space the floor, and that will be attractive to many teams looking to add another shooter, and he certainly has the ability to come off the bench and pour in points. Martin will be the easiest player for the Wolves to move this year, making him the first one to be traded. – Randy Spurlock

Final Count: Kevin Martin (10 votes), Damjan Rudez (one vote)
