30 Greatest Moments In Timberwolves History

#21 – Malik Sealy‘s Buzzer-Beating Three-Pointer
Malik Sealy was a role player who only averaged more than 30 minutes per game once in his career and enjoyed his best year as a pro in his age-29 season with the Timberwolves in 1999-2000 before his life was tragically taken by a drunk driver on his way home from Kevin Garnett’s birthday party in the early morning hours of May 20th.
Sealy and Garnett were great friends and the death of a current teammate was understandably difficult for the Timberwolves to overcome as an organization. The Wolves retired his number and it hangs in the rafters of Target Center to this day.
On Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Sealy’s last season, the Wolves trailed by two points with less than two seconds on the clock. The ball was in-bounded to Sealy, and he banked in a three-pointer above the top of the arc for the victory.
