#17 – Kevin Garnett Leads Timberwolves In Everything

Throughout the first 12 seasons of Kevin Garnett’s career, he did everything for the Timberwolves. But the 2002-03 campaign was special.

Due to a combination of a simply incredible season and a largely woeful supporting cast, Garnett led the Wolves in points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, field goals, and free throws. That’s virtually every single statistical category, save for three-pointers. It’s also insane.

Garnett played in all 82 games that season, as he did four times in his first go-round with the Wolves, and the second-best player was 2001-02 All-Star Wally Szczerbiak. But Wally World only managed to play in 52 games that season, although he averaged 17.6 points and shot 42.1 percent from three-point range when he did make it on the floor.

After that, Troy Hudson and Rasho Nesterovic were the only other decent rotation players. Garnett was asked to do it all, and he did. The volume of these numbers was more than impressive, though it was only a precursor to his truly staggering 2003-04 performance.
