30 Greatest Moments In Timberwolves History

#11 – Kevin Love Sets Post-Merger Double-Double Record
The Timberwolves version of Kevin Love was an absolute double-double machine, averaging 19.2 points and 12.2 rebounds per game over six seasons in Minnesota, including 23.5 points and 13.7 rebounds per game in the latter four campaigns.
This included a post-NBA-ABA merger record 53 consecutive double-doubles, breaking Moses Malone‘s record of 51 from 1978-79 following the 1976 merger.
The Wolves went just 13-40 as a team during the streak en route to a 17-win year under Kurt Rambis. Things began to turn around during the next season for Minnesota under Rick Adelman, but that only preceded injuries, knuckle push-ups, and an ugly contract disagreement.
But at least we have the streak, right?
