#6 – The Minnesota Timberwolves’ Inaugural Season
The Timberwolves wouldn’t have a top-30 moments without having come into existence.
The clip above is actually from the first-ever meeting between the old Minneapolis squad, the Los Angeles (formerly, Minneapolis) Lakers and the fledgling Minnesota Timberwolves. The first season was played in the cavernous Metrodome before the team moved into the Target Center for the 1990-91 season.
The Wolves went 22-60 in their first year, which isn’t a horrible mark for an expansion franchise. They followed that up with 29 wins the following year before bottoming out at 15-67 in 1991-92.
