Why Charlotte says “yes”: The Hornets are one of the surprises of the NBA this season at 10-7. With Al Jefferson now out two to three weeks, the Hornets may be looking for offense. Beyond Kemba Walker and Nicolas Batum they struggle for consistent offensive output every night.

With Martin in the mix in Charlotte it would a little bit of a boost offensively. It would also allow the Hornets to move Nicolas Batum back to small forward, his more natural position. Charlotte might be in the playoff hunt down the stretch, and they may need some veteran scoring. Martin can provide them with that, and Charlotte could use a guy like him.
Why Minnesota says “yes”: Roberts is a decent point guard, who could take some pressure off of Andre Miller, even though Miller has played well in the minutes he’s played. The key to this deal is Lamb, who has had a very successful season so far in Charlotte.
Lamb plays roughly the same amount of minutes as Martin, and he averages roughly the same amount of points per game, but he shooting over 50 percent from the field this season. On top of all that, he is only 23 years old, which adds to the youth of the Wolves. Lamb would be a fun, interesting piece off the bench for the Wolves.
