Wolves trade Martin to Los Angeles for Jamal Crawford (ESPN Trade Machine)

Why both teams say “maybe”: On paper, this deal make complete and total sense, and from a contract standpoint it works there to — Crawford and Martin are fairly similar players. Sure, Crawford is a little better, but when we really boil it down, aren’t they the same?

They both are shoot-first guards who can’t play defense. Their stats are nearly identical across the board, although Crawford scores a little more per game. In reality, I don’t know if either teams gains or loses anything if this deal actually happens. It’s just kind of a wash for me.

So…”maybe”.
