Why Philadelphia says “yes”: Is “because they’re the Sixers” a suitable explanation? I mean, I still am not entirely sure what the Sixers are trying to do with their roster. They’ve tried to build through the draft, but on the other hand they’ve brought on some odd pieces as well.

I don’t see why Martin doesn’t fit in there, in fact, he could probably average close to 20 points per game for Philadelphia.

Why Minnesota says “yes”: Thompson is a pretty good deep bench piece, but Covington is the major score here. He’s a floor spacer who can also rebound a bit and has a nose for the ball on defense. He’s one of the more underrated players in the game today. Most of that is chalked up to the fact that he plays in Philadelphia.

Covington would be very fun to watch in Minnesota and he and Nemanja Bjelica would be a fun pair to have on the floor at the same time. That would certainly boost the Wolves’ lowly three-point shooting.
