#12 – March 25, 2012 – Kevin Love: 30 points, 21 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 blocks, 2 steals
Kevin Love notched his share of dominate games in a Timberwolves uniform. The gaudy double-double streak comes to mind, of course, and there were a number of jaw-droppers throughout the game log.
Against the Nuggets back in the spring of 2012, however, Love pulled the Wolves record to 24-26 with a 30-point, 21-rebound performance. He shot 11 of 19 from the field and uncharacteristically only made one three-pointer on four attempts, but was active defensively and a monster on the boards.
Luke Ridnour was second in scoring for the Timberwolves with 25 points and Martell Webster put up 17 points off the bench, but the story was Love’s dominance over the impressive rookie version of Kenneth Faried, who only managed six rebounds on this night.
This came shortly after Rubio’s ACL tear and was one last gasp from the Wolves in the direction of making the playoffs before ultimately finishing the season on a horrific 2-14 skid.
