#10 – December 18, 2010 – Kevin Love: 43 points, 17 rebounds, 3 assists
This is the second Love vs. Denver game on this list. It also came just over a month after the infamous 31-point, 31-rebound game against the New York Knicks, which we’ll talk about shortly.
Love dropped 43 points on 14 of 23 shooting including a perfect 5 of 5 from beyond the arc. He also converted 10 of 12 free throw attempts and pulled down 17 rebounds while inducing a disqualification via foul-out by the Nuggets’ Nene in just 24 minutes.
The Wolves trailed by 13 points heading into the fourth quarter of this game and outscored the home team by a tally of 38-27 but fell two points short when it was all said and done. Michael Beasley scored 17 points in support of Love but needed 18 shots to do it while Martell Webster and Jonny Flynn each added 12 points off the bench.
This impressive showing in the box score was the continuation of Love’s breakout that eventually lead to his addition to the 2010-11 NBA All-Star Game in February.
