The Timberwolves had just won the first playoff series in franchise history by beating the Denver Nuggets in four games and had just seen the Kings win Game 6 to extend the second-round series to a final and decisive seven games.
The Kings not only had to come to Target Center for Game 7, but they also had to deal with Kevin Garnett.
KG was a monster. He shot 12 of 23 from the field including a three-pointer and 7 of 11 from the free throw line. He played 46 minutes and only turned the ball over twice while holding Chris Webber to 16 points on 8 of 17 shooting.
