#19 – March 3, 2012 – Kevin Love: 42 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, one steal
After the NBA lockout that shortened the 2011-12 season, the Timberwolves were hovering around the .500-mark and a potential playoff berth in the Western Conference with an electrifying rookie point guard in Ricky Rubio and a young, emerging superstar in Kevin Love.
Love, who attended high school in the Portland area, was returning home to face the Trail Blazers in a meaningful game in March with both teams fighting to sneak into the playoffs in what was an abbreviated season.
All he did was drop 42 points on 15 of 27 shooting including 5 of 8 from beyond the arc in leading the Wolves to an important 122-110 victory.
Of course, Rubio would tear his ACL shortly after the win in Portland and the Timberwolves would fall out of playoff contention.
