20 Best Individual Performances in Timberwolves History
By Ben Beecken
#18 – February 7, 1995 – Isaiah Rider: 41 points, 9 assists, 8 rebounds, 2 blocks, one steal
Isaiah Rider was in the midst of his second season in the NBA after being the fifth-overall selection by the Timberwolves in the 1993 draft and was considered to be every bit of an enigma as a professional.
On this night, however, Rider led the woeful Wolves to a 109-100 win over an equally-as-bad Warriors team. He shot 15 of 23 from the field including 6 of 8 on three-point attempts and notching nine assists and eight rebounds.
It hasn’t been very often in Timberwolves history that there has been a performance from a marksman, so an efficient evening with six makes is significant.
Never mind that Rider would ultimately be a bust in the NBA. At this point, Rider was still teasing Wolves fans with his potential, and this was quite simply one of the best single-game performances in franchise history.
