#17 – March 19, 2014 – Ricky Rubio: 22 points, 15 assists, 10 rebounds, 4 steals, one block
Despite his injury-prone reputation, Rubio played in all 82 games in the 2013-14 season. And this 123-122 win in Dallas over the Mavericks bumped the Wolves’ record to 34-32 and kept them in the hunt for a playoff spot for the first time in a decade.
Rubio made 8 of his 12 field goal attempts on the night and knocked down 6 of 7 attempts from the charity stripe. He also added 15 assists, which is still tied for second-most in a game in franchise history, and 10 rebounds to solidify a triple-double.
He managed four steals and badgered fellow Spaniard Jose Calderon all evening, truly playing the role of leader for the Timberwolves on this night. Kevin Love added 35 points and eight rebounds of his own to lead the team in scoring.
Of course, the Wolves would finish the season on a 6-10 skid and missed the playoffs yet again, leading to Love’s exit over the summer via trade.
