#9 – Isaiah Rider

Again, this is not to say that J.R. Rider was necessarily a ‘better scorer’ than Sam Cassell, but it’s hard to ignore eighth all-time in franchise scoring, plus a 20-plus point per game season and an 18.8 points per game three-year stint in Minnesota.

Rider also shot 35.9 percent from beyond the arc for his Timberwolves career before heading to Portland and eventually Atlanta, each stops in which he had a 19-plus point per game season to his name.

Rider only played through his age-30 season, but he was a potent scorer and exciting dunker early in his career, as you’ll see in the highlight video above. The efficiency wasn’t exactly there, but the sheer volume of shots and points was impressive and it’s impossible to deny the impact he had on those poor Wolves squads from 1993 through 1996.
