Gorgui Dieng‘s Resolution: Learn to play smarter.

I’m a big proponent of Gorgui, and getting Gorgui plenty of minutes. There is one issue with Gorgui, however, is that he needs to learn to play a little smarter. Currently, he has a turnover rate of 20.5, which is the highest on the team for players that see the court on a nightly basis.

It just seems like his decision making is very staggered. He’ll get the ball and it will take him a few seconds before he decides what he wants to do, or he’ll make a decision and then change his mind mid-play.

Dieng needs to sharpen his decision-making on the floor, and that should take care of the turnover problem, for the most part.

Along with that, there is at least one time in each game where Dieng gets called for traveling. He gets called for it on the same move, every time: a high ball fake, and he shuffles his feet before he dribbles. Hopefully, he can clean up the footwork, or just find a new move entirely.
