Least Valuable Player: Kevin Martin

It’s hard to call a player “least valuable”, but for the Wolves, if I had to pick one, it’s Kevin Martin. Aside from all of the ongoing trade talks, he has not done anything significant to bolster his trade value on the floor. He has most definitely been underwhelming in every sense of the word.

It starts with Martin’s shooting struggles, which have plagued him all season. All we have to do to substantiate this is look at his shot chart from this season, compared to last season.

I haven’t wanted to vomit that badly since I regrettably watched Bewitched on Netflix a few weeks ago. That chart is disgusting, and it accurately sums up the abysmal shooting season Martin has had.

The fact that Martin is openly on the trading block cannot help matters for him either. I would assume its rather awkward walking into the locker room, and everybody knows you’ll be traded at some point or another.

This, along with Martin’s struggles on the floor have really made it a hard season for him. I want Kevin Martin to succeed, but I just don’t think it’ll happen in Minnesota.
