Kevin Love win the 2012 Three-Point Competition

Love came in as sort of an afterthought in a fairly loaded competition that offered forth great shooters like Ryan Anderson, James Jones, Anthony Morrow, and Kevin Durant. Despite being overlooked, Love was able to win the competition, which solidified him as a true three-point threat.

The opening round saw Love notch 18 points, but he was forced into a tiebreaker to get into the final round. In the tiebreaker, Love had five points which was enough to catapult him into the finals.

Love went first in the final round and ended with a score of 16 which forced him into another tiebreaker with Kevin Durant. In the tiebreaker, Love poured in 17 points which bested Durant’s 14. It was by no means easy for Love, but none the less he was able to capture the three-point crown.
