Andrew Wiggins wins MVP of the 2015 Rising Stars Game

Last season was the first time the NBA switched to a USA vs. World format for their Rising Stars competition. That game featured Wolves players Gorgui Dieng, Zach LaVine, and Shabazz Muhammad. However, all of those players were overshadowed by Andrew Wiggins, who won the MVP award.

Wiggins finished with a game-high 22 points of Team World. For what it’s worth, LaVine scored 22 points of his own for Team USA. What tipped the MVP scales in Wiggins favor is that fact that Team World won the game, 121-112. Now, Wiggins will have a chance to defend his MVP award this year as he suits up for Team World yet again.

Despite missing the Rising Star MVP in 2015, LaVine still had an okay showing the following night, I guess…
