Timberwolves All-Star Weekend Memories
Kevin Garnett wins 2003 All-Star Game MVP
Garnett has been really the only Wolves player to consistently make it to the All-Star game, as he made it to the game 11 times during his first tour of duty in Minnesota. The 2003 event was the his best output in an All-Star game, and he was rewarded accordingly with the game’s MVP.
KG poured in 37 points (on 17-24 shooting) which is fifth best in NBA All-Star game history. Garnett also snared nine rebound and snagged five steals. This was the beginning of probably the best individual run in Garnett’s career, as he won the regular season MVP a year later and led the Wolves to the Western Conference Finals.
